This stairway is the very essence of gradeur. The upper flight is 6 feet wide and, as you descend, it gently flares to 9-1/2 feet, opening into a magnificent living area. The bottom three treads and risers are built with a convex curvature which enhances this unique design. The balusters are custom made and are 3-1/2 inches square with turned centers. The panel newel post is 8 inches square, the handrail is 3-1/2 inches square and both are crafted of cherry, as are the treads. The railing moves continuously up to the balcony.
